USD 333 Concordia's enrollment for the 2017-2018 school year increased by 13 total students, with both Concordia Elementary School and Concordia Junior/Senior High School seeing considerable gains in their student count.
The state of Kansas' student count date for 2017 was Wednesday, September 20th. Concordia's enrollment count of 1,106 students is up from last year's count of 1,093 kids.
In comparison to last year's September 20th figures, Concordia Elementary School increased by 22 total students to 498 kids. Concordia Junior/Senior High School's numbers increased by 13 total students to a total of 455 kids, while Concordia Middle School has seen a decrease of 22 students this year to a total of 153 kids.
USD 333 Concordia Superintendent Quentin Breese says the September 20th count shows a slight increase, but the district is actually up nearly 40 students from where they ended last school year.
In order for a school district to count a student for funding purposes, the student must be enrolled and attending classes on the September 20th count day of the current school year.
