Pilots from across the state of Kansas joined local officials and local students Friday, September 29th when the Fly Kansas Air Tour made a stop at Concrodia's Blosser Municipal Airport.

Merrill Atwater, Director of Aviation with the Kansas Department of Transportation, said Friday's stop in Concordia included a presentation on how airplanes fly, and gave Concordia Elementary School 4th grade students the opportunity to visit with the participating pilots and learn about aviation in Kansas.

The event was presented by the Kansas Commission on Aerospace Education and the Kansas Department of Transportation. The tour focuses on raising awareness on the importance of community airports and introducing aviation to young people.
