USD 224 Clifton-Clyde Board Members and Superintendent Honored by the Kansas Association of School Boards
USD 224 Clifton-Clyde Board member Dr. Bill Genereux, Board President Stephen Kieffer, and Superintendent Art Baker have been honored by the Kansas Association of School Boards for their participation in training programs.
Genereux, Kieffer, and Baker received certificates through the Kansas Association of School Boards Leadership Academy for training and meetings attended over the past year.
The Kansas Association of School Boards Leadership Academy recognizes the dedication school board members and administrators exhibit as they commit to continuing education throughout the year. Points are awarded on a yearly basis for attendance at regional and state conferences and participation in specialized training at the local level. The points are totaled at the end of the program year.
For this year, 482 Kansas Association of School Boards members received Level One Certificates (25-74 Points) and 146 Kansas Association of School Boards members received Level Two Certificates (75 points or more).
The objectives of the Leadership Academy is to make available to school board members and administrators, a comprehensive development program that includes opportunities to learn and develop; knowledge and skills needed to operate effectively on a school board and as a school administrator; to provide a comprehensive and high quality program; and to be able to demonstrate that school board members are the best prepared public officials in Kansas.
