Concordia Girls Track Team Finishes 2nd at Lion's Club Invitational in Belleville

The Concordia High School Girls Track and Field team recorded a 2nd place team finish Tuesday, April 18th at the Lion's Club Invitational in Belleville, hosted by Republic County High School. The Panthers brought home five 1st place finishes, including sweeping Tuesday's relay races.

Concordia Girls 4x100M Relay team consisting of Juniors Cydney Bergmann and Jessica Williams and Sophomores Katlynn Miller and Emma Wahlmeier finished in 1st place in a time of 51.64.

The Concordia Girls 4x400M Relay team of Bergmann, Wahlmeier, Williams and Senior Mariah Blazek finished in 1st place in a time of 4:21.60.

The Panther Girls 4x800M Relay team of Blazek, Juniors Britney Gilkeson and Peyton Reynolds and Freshman Hali Buckley finished in 1st place in a time of 10:47.09.

Wahlmeier brought home another 1st place finish Tuesday in the 400M Dash in a time of 1:02.76.

Bergmann captured a 1st place finish at the meet in the Girls 100M Hurdles in a time of 16.24

Bergmann was 2nd overall in the Girls 100M Dash in a time of 13.32. In that same race, Wahlmeier finished in 4th place in a time of 13.78.

Bergmann also competed Tuesday in the Girls 300M Hurdles. Cydney brought home a 3rd place finish in a time of 52.65.

In the Girls 800M Run, Blazek finished in 2nd place overall in a time of 2:37.05.

Reynolds and Buckley were both able to place Tuesday in the Girls 3200M Run. Reynolds finished in 2nd place in a time of 13:50.82, while Buckley was 3rd overall in a time of 14:49.62.

Reynolds also recorded a 3rd place finish at the meet in the Girls 1600M Run in a time of 6:05.53.

Williams captured a 2nd place finish in the Girls Pole Vault with a vault of 11' 6".

Miller brought home a 5th place finish in the Girls Triple Jump in a leap of 31' 3".

Concordia Freshman Shaina Wright finished 5th in the Girls High Jump in a jump of 4' 8".


The Concordia High School Boys Track and Field team finished in 9th place at the Lion's Club Invitational in Belleville.

The Concordia High School Boys 4x400M Relay team of Kurtis Bogart, Matthew Davenport, Rope Dorman and Corben Monzon finished in 3rd place at the meet in a time of 3:45.84.

The Panther 4x800M Relay team of Bogart, Davenport, Caleb Hartzell and Tristin Mikesell finished in 5th place in a time of 9:51.74.

Dorman was the only individual placer for the boys at the meet, recording a 5th place finish in the Pole Vault in a vault of 11'' 6".
