Four Concordia Basketball Players Receive ALL-NCKL Recognition

Four Concordia High School Basketball players -- two girls and two boys -- have been named to the ALL-NCKL teams following the conclusion of the 2017-2018 year.
Concordia High School Senior Cydney Bergmann was selected to the ALL-NCKL First Team. Bergmann led the Lady Panthers this year with 18.5 points per game off 47.2% shooting from the field. Cydney also finished with 8 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.7 steals per game this season, leading the team in all three statistical categories. She was also tops on the squad with 13 block this year.
Bergmann concludes her high school career 2nd all-time in Concordia High School Girls Basketball history with 1,255 career points, an average of 14.6 points per game. Cydney also ranks 2nd all-time in Concordia history in career assists with 309, 3rd all-time in career steals with 235, and 7th all-time in career rebounds with 549.
Panther Senior Jessica Williams was named this year to the ALL-NCKL Honorable Mention team. This season, Williams was third on the team in scoring at 5.8 points per game, while she finished second on the club in rebounding at 5.8 rebounds per game.
The Lady Panthers finished the 2017-2018 year at 9-12 overall.
Concordia High School Junior Dyelan Reed was selected to the ALL-NCKL First Team. Reed led the Panthers this year with 16 points per game off 44.8% shooting from the field. Reed also shot 76.5% from the free-throw line, hitting 88 free-throws this season. Dyelan added 7 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.6 steals per game this season.
Panther Junior Corben Monzon was named this year to the ALL-NCKL Honorable Mention team. Monzon recorded 9.3 points per game off 41.4% shooting from the field, including 35.6% from beyond the arc. Corben poured in 32 three-pointers this year. He also finished with 2.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.6 steals per game.
The Concordia Boys concluded their 2017-2018 season at 7-13 overall.
