Six members of the Concordia High School Wrestling team received ALL-NCKL recognition last week.
Concordia High School Seniors Zach Strait (120 lbs.) and Blake Leiszler (126 lbs.), along with Freshman Hunter Schroeder (152 lbs.) were named to the ALL-NCKL First Team. Sophomore Jordan Anguish (113 lbs.), Senior Rope Dorman (170 lbs.) and Senior Brent Beaumont (220 lbs.) made the ALL-NCKL Honorable Mention list.
Strait and Leiszler, both three-time state qualifiers, each ended their high school wrestling careers by becoming two-time state medalists last month at the 2018 Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA) Class 4A State Wrestling Tournament at the Tony's Pizza Event Center in Salina. Strait (25-3) recorded his second-ever third place finish at the state meet, while Leiszler (39-6) captured a fourth place finish at the tournament.
Dorman and Schroeder also represented Concordia at the state tournament. Dorman ended his year at 14-12, while Schroeder finished up 30-14.
