Clyde - 2nd Annual Mental Health and Wellness Fair
The 2nd Annual Mental Health and Wellness Fair to increase awareness of mental health and resources has been rescheduled to Sunday, April 26th from 4 pm to 5:30 pm at the Clifton-Clyde High School gymnasium. This fair, which was postponed earlier this month due to illness with their keynote speaker, has been put together through a collaboration of mental and physical health providers, the local ministerial alliance, and school personnel.
The theme of the fair is "Soar Above the Stigma."
At this year's fair, area mental and physical health and wellness providers will be on site to answer questions and provide information about treatment services.
Babysitting services will be available in the Clifton-Clyde High School Library from 3:30 pm to 6 pm, provided by Skyline Clifton-Clyde.
The keynote speaker is Jennifer Montgomery, the Director for Human Trafficking Education and Outreach for Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt. She is a passionate advocate for women and girls who have experienced sexual abuse and exploitation. Montgomery serves as vice-chair of the board of directors of a national anti-human trafficking non-profit organization located in Topeka and works as the co-chair of the Human Trafficking Advisory Board for the Kansas Attorney General’s Office.
Attendees will also receive a resource booklet with provider information to find help for themselves, a family member or a friend.
