Allison Poore Named Outstanding Senior; Four Panther Softball Players Receive All-League Recognition
Concordia High School Senior Allison Poore has been named the Most Outstanding Senior Softball Player, while four members of the Concordia High School Softball team have received All-North Central Kansas League recognition.
Poore was named a First-Team All-NCKL Infielder for the 2019 season. Allison batted .433 on the year with 26 hits, including seven doubles and one triple, 12 runs scored and 15 RBIs. She finished the season with a .477 on-base percentage and a .583 slugging percentage.
Panther Junior Taegen Larsen was named a First-Team All-NCKL Outfield selection. Taegen hit .507 on the season with 36 hits, including 11 doubles, 25 runs scored and 9 RBIs. Larsen had a .514 on-base percentage and a .622 slugging percentage.
Concordia Junior Hailey Budke was chosen as an Honorable Mention All-NCKL Utility Player, while Freshman Kira Kearn was named an Honorable Mention All-NCKL Catcher.
At the plate, Budke hit .403 this spring with 25 hits, including six doubles, eight runs scored and 11 RBIs. On the mound, Hailey finished with a 7.438 earned run average in seven varsity starts. She recorded 24 strikeouts on the season.
Kearn batted .415 on the season with 22 hits, including three doubles and two triples, 9 runs scored and 13 RBIs.
The Concordia High School Softball team saw their 2019 season come to an end on Monday, May 13th, falling 5-3 to the Nemaha Central Thunder in the first round of their Class 3A Regional Softball Tournament.
The Panthers finished the year at 5-14 overall.
