Concordia Golfers Conclude Play at the 2019 KSHSAA Class 3A State Golf Tournament

Two members of the Concordia High School Boys Golf team finished play in the 2019 Kansas State High School Activities Association Class 3A State Golf Tournament on Wednesday, May 22nd.  The tournament began on Monday, May 20th at the Emporia Municipal Golf Course in Emporia, but play was suspended with six holes remaining due to rain.

Three members of the Concordia High School Boys Golf team qualified to compete at the tournament.  Freshmen Hayden Dvorak and Braxton Kindel, and Senior Paul Rundus each recorded top 11 finishes at their Class 3A Regional Golf Tournament in Great Bend last week to receive at-large bids to the state tournament.

Rundus was forced to withdraw after the first day of the tournament due to an unavoidable scheduling conflict on Wednesday.

Dvorak led Concordia at the meet, finishing with an 88.  Hayden shot rounds of 47 and 41.

Kindel posted a 100 after he shot rounds of 52 and 48.
