Concordia High School Senior Dyelan Reed Signs to Play Basketball at Cloud County Community College
Concordia High School Senior Dyelan Reed signed his National Letter of Intent on Tuesday, May 14th to play basketball next year at Cloud County Community College. Reed was named this winter as an Honorable Mention All-State selection in Class 3A by the Kansas Basketball Coaches Association.
Dyelan told KNCK Sports about his decision to sign with Cloud County.
Dyelan, a First-Team All-North Central Kansas League selection, finished his senior year ranked second in the NCKL in both scoring and rebounding. Dyelan averaged 20.6 points per game and 8.2 rebounds per game this year. He also finished second in the league in steals at 2.5 steals per game.
Dyelan's 1,051 career points rank as the fourth most points scored by a Concordia Boys Basketball player in the program's history. Reed is also tied for sixth all-time in steals with 131 career takeaways.
He reflected on his time playing basketball for the Panthers.
This year, Reed was named the recipient of the Ed Walters Free-Throw Award. Dyelan shot 80.4% from the free-throw line this year to go along with 45.3% shooting from the floor and 41% shooting from three-point range.
Concordia finished the 2018-2019 season at 7-13 overall and 3-6 in NCKL play.
