Concordia Sophomores Chas Carlgren and Chase Parker Receive All-State Baseball Recognition
Concordia High School Sophomores Chas Carlgren and Chase Parker have received Class 3A All-State recognition from the Kansas Association of Baseball Coaches.
Carlgren was named to the First-Team All-State Outfield. Carlgren led Concordia with a .517 batting average after registering a team-high 30 hits, including eight doubles and one home run, 30 runs scored, and 25 RBIs. Carlgren had the best slugging percentage on the club at .707.
Parker was named an Honorable Mention All-State utility player. Chase hit .340 on the year with 16 hits, including one home run, and 15 RBIs at the plate. On the mound, Parker finished the season 6-2 overall with a 1.79 earned run average. He allowed 10 earned runs off 24 hits in 39 innings pitched while striking out 61 batters on the year.
The Concordia High School Baseball team saw their 2019 season come to an end on Wednesday, May 15th, falling in their Class 3A Regional Championship Game to the Minneapolis Lions, 7-5.
The Panthers concluded the year at 15-6 overall, winning their second consecutive NCKL title.
