Community Chamber Orchestra to Present Classical Concert at Morganville School on May 17

Community Chamber Orchestra is inviting experienced string players on violin, viola, cello, and bass to join us on Fridays at 6:30 pm to 8 pm in the Morganville Community Room on Main St. (67468) for a ticketed classical concert on Friday, May 17th in Morganville School.

The concert will feature KSU's violin/viola faculty and DMA candidate Madeleine Jansen on Dvorak's "Romance," and also include some of her KSU students as guest musicians.  In addition the Orchestra will play string works by Mozart, Barber, and Telemann.

Pictured are some of the Orchestra's current players at their Feb. 2, 2024 rehearsal.  The Community  Chamber Orchestra plays without a conductor and pays its players.  Musicians from many areas of North Central Kansas have participated since 1997.
