City of Concordia, Kansas Employment Opportunities- multiple openings

Manager- Wastewater Treatment Plant-responsible for the proper operation and maintenance of the Wastewater Treatment Facility and is responsible for preparing reports for he KDHE, USEPA, and other regulatory agency as necessary. Must collect wastewater and bio-solids samples at different stages of processing and conduct analyses.

Mechanic-Responsible for major and minor service of diesel/gasoline motors and electrical systems. Perform repairs on parks equipment including mowers and chain saws.

Equipment Operator-Utilities Division
Operates the departments equipment both light and heavy. Responsible for routine operation and maintenance of the Water Production, Water Distribution, and Wastewater Collection Systems with in the city.

Municipal Service Worker- Public Works Division
Will operate small tractors and equipment, assist in the maintenance or construction of streets, alleys, storm sewers, and traffic control devices, operate dump trucks, perform manual labor on projects and maintenance duties, may assist shop mechanic on repairs to department vehicles and equipment.

Customer Service /Code Enforcement- Respond to citizen inquiries, take messages, refer calls. Primary customer service rep for City Hall. Prepare business licensing, prepare nuisance paperwork for violators.

Police Officer-Serve and protect nearly 5100 citizens. Officers perform general duty police work consisting of patrol work on an assigned shift, preliminary investigation, and miscellaneous duties.
