The 2nd Community Mental Health and Wellness Fair to increase awareness of mental health and resources will be held Sunday, April 10th from 3 pm to 5 pm at the Clifton-Clyde High School gymnasium.

The first Mental Health and Wellness Fair in 2019 was extremely well attended and attendees stated high gratitude and appreciation regarding the event.   Clifton-Clyde Superintendent and High School Principal Art Baker says they look forward to continuing that success with their second event.

The theme for the event is "Rise Above the Stigma."

Clifton-Clyde Counselor Mistie Knox says they want to help reduce stigma by educating people who have mental illness, their families and the general public.

The Mental Health and Wellness Fair is designed to bring awareness and information to the community regarding mental health illnesses and recovery.  

Knox says they want individuals to seek support by spotlighting agencies available to assist.

A Keynote speaker will talk about mental illnesses, risk factors, warning signs, trafficking and promoting safety.

A question-and-answer session with providers will be held in breakout rooms to allow for more questions.

All attendees will receive a resource booklet of wellness providers who are present and within the North Central Kansas area.
