Area Youth Participate in Thor Days on Cloud County Community College's Concordia Campus

9-Year-Old Rowan Lambertz of Concordia Enrolled in Three Classes Offered During Thor Days at Cloud County Community College in Concordia This Week

Area youth in fourth, fifth and sixth grades were invited to attend Thor Days on Cloud County Community College's Concordia campus this week.

Thor Days was held on Monday, July 17th and Tuesday, July 18th.

Students enrolled in three classes each day, and enjoyed a lunch provided by the college.

11-year-old Norah Lambertz of Concordia said she's really enjoyed the activities offered at Thor Days.

Norah's younger sister, 9-year-old Rowan Lambertz of Concordia, said her favorite class was Painting Pet Portraits, taught by Cloud County Instructor in Visual Communications, Amy Kern.

For 9-year-old Mattelyn Knox of Concordia, her favorite class was Nursing 101.

Kyndal Boff, a 9-year-old from Concordia, also really enjoyed Nursing 101, which was taught by College Director of Nursing and Allied Health Stefanie Perret and Administrative Assistant for Nursing Amanda Wolf.

Other classes offered at Thor Days included Renewable Energy, Drones, Exploring Music and Puzzled.

Roxie Scott, a 10-year-old from Midland, Texas, said she has loved having specific activities to do while visiting family in Cloud County this summer.

Students in grades 1-3 will attend Kid’s College on Wednesday, July 19th and Thursday, July 20th on the college's Concordia campus.  Kid’s College classes are to include Renewable Energy, Drones, Do It Yourself Crafts, Bookworms (with the CCCC Library and Frank Carlson Library), Firefighters (with the Concordia Fire Department), Mosaic Fun, Tye Dye, LEGO fun, Kid Detective (with the Concordia Police Department), Jewelry Making, Puzzled, and Cars.
