The Cloud County Historical Society Museum in Concordia will host Dena Bisnette and Joe Gilliam, authors of "Images of America: Concordia", on Saturday, August 26th from 9 am until noon for a photo scanning, during which they will collect images for a new book.

The public is invited to bring photos or information to be considered for use in the new book, which will be called "Concordia: Past And Present" and is scheduled for release in 2025 by Arcadia Publishing.

Bisnette said she believes there are people out there who have photos that may not have been seen in a long time, or maybe haven't been seen outside their own families, and they hope they will want to share them.

Bisnette told KNCK News they are looking for photos of locations that are either important to the town's history or are something people will remember seeing or hearing the older folks talk about.

Photos will be scanned at this weekend's event and returned to their owners immediately.
