Career Day Speaker Encourages Concordia High School Students to Take Risks, Embrace Opportunities

2007 Concordia High School Graduate Brandon Gumm Spoke to Concordia High School Students on Monday, April 15th

Brandon Gumm, a 2007 graduate of Concordia High School, spoke to the Concordia High School student body and met with business students and members of the CHS Job's for America's Graduates-Kansas program on Monday, April 15th.

Gumm is the Senior Business Process Manager for Molson Coors Beverage Company in Golden, Colorado.  Prior to joining Molson Coors Beverage Co. in 2018, Gumm worked at Frito Lay in Denver, Colorado for seven years.  His roles there included serving as a Second Shift Warehouse Manager, an Automated Warehouse Manager, Logistics, Distribution and Transportation Manager, and a Plant Maintenance/Engineering Manager.

Gumm received his Associate of Science Degree from Cloud County Community College in 2008, and a Bachelor Degree in Industrial & Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Kansas State University in 2011.

At Molson Coors Beverage Company, Gumm helps with material management, inventory management, and warehouse management in the supply chain process.

Gumm spoke to the students about his job, as well as emphasized what was essential to be successful in his career.

Gumm told the students growing up in Concordia and attending CHS set him up on a path to be successful.

Gumm stressed to students the importance of being able to take classes that interest them and the opportunities that exist to join many different clubs or organizations to develop skills, network and build a resume for themselves.  Gumm encouraged the students to take advantage of the opportunities that are presented to them before they leave CHS.
