Clay County Medical Center (CCMC) CEO Austin Gillard made the list of 110 rural hospital and health system CEOs to know in 2024.  The executives featured on the list are committed to expanding hospital service lines, renovating and improving their facilities, and hiring talented team members.  For three consecutive years, Gillard has been featured on this premier list.

Clay County Medical Center (CCMC) is a 25-bed critical access hospital which employs over 300 staff members in 30+ departments.  Additionally, there are more than 30 providers in the specialty clinic.  CCMC is Medicare certified to operate swing bed and Hospice Inpatient/Respite beds and sponsors a Medicare Licensed Hospice program, Meadowlark Hospice.
