Cloud County Community College has prepared students to earn an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing (AAS) since 1978.  At the completion of the program students are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) to practice as Registered Nurses.  Nearly 1,200 nurses are graduates of this program with a large majority of them practicing in North Central Kansas and South Central Nebraska.

The Associate Degree Nursing Program at Cloud County is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).

At Cloud, Metzler will be the primary pharmacology instructor as well as the faculty sponsor for the Student Nurses Organization.  He also will assist with clinical instruction and teaching acute care content.

Metzler told KNCK News he feels privileged to be able to educate the future of nursing and help address the nursing shortage facing our communities.
