For five decades, Pam Campbell has worked diligently at the Cloud County Health Center, formerly St. Joseph Hospital in Concordia.

Campbell was recognized this week for her dedication to the hospital and community, and received an award for her 50 years of service.

Ownership of the hospital was transferred to the Sisters of St. Joseph in Wichita in 1985 and then transferred to Salina Regional Health Center in 1995.  In 2003, the hospital became a stand-alone non-profit facility.

Next week, the Cloud County Health Center officially moves into a new single-story, state-of-the-art health care facility located close to US Highway 81 along College Drive.  The Cloud County Health Center will change its name to North Central Kansas Medical Center as it transitions to the new building on November 16th.

Campbell told KNCK News leaving the current facility and relocating to the new hospital has led her through a wave of emotions.
