Ken Davis has filed for re-election as Cloud County Sheriff in 2024.

Davis, a Republican, has served as sheriff since 2021.  He succeeded Brian Marks who served three four-years terms as sheriff but did not seek re-election in 2020.

Davis has served as a law enforcement officer in Cloud County for over 20 years.  Prior to being elected sheriff, Davis was formerly a sergeant with the Cloud County Sheriff's Department and a corporal with the Concordia Police Department.

Davis is the second candidate to have filed for the position.  In March, former Cloud County Sheriff's Office Deputy Hans Hanson filed for sheriff.  Hanson, a Republican who currently works for the Belleville Police Department, will challenge Davis in the August 6th Republican Primary Election.

This year, all Cloud County positions are up for election, including County Attorney, County Clerk, County Register of Deeds, County Sheriff, County Treasurer, and all three County Commission seats.
