CMS students look forward to enhanced outdoor multi-use area for the community
Since August 2023, Concordia 5th and 6th grade students have enjoyed updated classrooms and an improved learning environment at the newly renovated Concordia Middle School. Now, they are anticipating the completion of an outdoor recreation area for year-round use.
The USD 333 Concordia Education Fund wants to give our kids the gift of health and happiness! Your contribution toward completing the CMS outdoor multi-use recreational field will bring the gift of healthy hearts to our students, and will benefit our community all year long. The CMS outdoor recreational area will be a fenced area with a leveled permeable turf surface east of CMS, allowing for year-round play, and open to the public when school is not in session. The physical activity area will be available daily to about 200 middle school students, and an additional 90-100 students attending the Concordia Afterschool Program (CAP).
USD 333, and the Concordia Education Fund has already received $63,000 in federal funds, a $5,000 grant from the Community Foundation for Cloud County, and a $5,000 grant from the Cloud County Wind Farms for this project. The outdoor recreation field will cost approximately $170,000. USD 333 is seeking additional grants, and the Concordia Education Fund is seeking contributions to help complete the outdoor recreation project.
Your tax-deductible gift to the CMS outdoor recreation area will ensure that students and our community benefit from better health year-round. Please contact Kim Muff at kim.muff@usd333.com to learn more about the CMS outdoor recreation area and how you or your alumni group, organization, or business can contribute to it or other projects supporting students. Donations may be made anonymously or with sponsor recognition.
