Concordia Chamber of Commerce to Shower Seniors with Love This Valentine's Day

​The Concordia Chamber of Commerce is once again challenging the community to send a handwritten Valentine's Day card or letter to nursing home residents in the area, “showering” them with a mailbox full of well wishes, gratitude, encouragement or support.

Concordia Chamber of Commerce Director Annie Bergmann says this is the fourth year the chamber has organized this campaign to spread joy to the area nursing facilities and assisted living facilities.

Bergmann says any type of card, whether homemade, printed or purchased is welcome.

Candy is welcome as well.

Items are being collected in the Concordia Chamber of Commerce Office at 207 W. 6th Street in Concordia.  The deadline to submit items is noon on February 12th.
