Concordia Raceway Gears Up for 2022 Season

Concordia Raceway, the quarter mile bullring in North Central Kansas, will kick off the 2022 season of racing at the dirt track at the Cloud County Fairgrounds on Sunday, May 1st.

On Sunday evenings, from May to late September, Mark Headrick says you can find some of the best racing action in the region in Concordia.

The weekly schedule will feature IMCA Stock Cars, IMCA Sport Mods, IMCA Hobby Stocks, IMCA Sport Compacts, Mini Stocks and Cruisers.

Jayhuskers, a traveling racing circuit at locations in Kansas and Nebraska, will compete at Concordia Raceway on Saturday, June 18th.

Kicking off the Independence Day weekend on Friday, July 1st, Headrick says the Rocky Mountain Midget Racing Association along with the Jayhusker Racing Sportsman and Wingless A Class will invade the Concordia Raceway.

Headrick says they have tried to keep racing affordable for the fans and race teams.

This weekend, kids and families are invited to get up close and personal with the dirt track cars and trucks that will race at Concordia Raceway this summer.  A car show and meet-and-greet will be held at the Broadway Plaza in downtown Concordia from 9 am to noon on Saturday and is free to the public.

Headrick said the car show and meet-and-greet is a great opportunity for drivers to meet their fans and make new ones.

After the event downtown, the public is invited to come out to the track and see the drivers practice for free at the annual pre-season Test & Tune from 2 pm to 6 pm on Saturday.
