Concordia School District to Hold Community Education Retreat in August

USD 333 Concordia wants to initiate a conversation with parents, staff and community members, discussing issues such as school safety and developing the Portrait of a Successful Concordia High School Graduate.

USD 333 Concordia Superintendent Quentin Breese said they want the school and community to take a strong stance on what it means for their students to be college, career, and life ready.

The USD 333 Concordia Community Education Retreat is planned for Wednesday, August 3rd from 11 am to 2 pm at Concordia Elementary School.

Superintendent Breese said he wants stakeholders to come together to discuss the responsibilities and goals of public schools in the community, as well as the traits and skills that students will need the most to be successful in adult life.

The district's Portrait of a Successful Concordia High School Graduate is meant to complement academics and test scores as measures of preparedness.  While it does not replace a focus on academic achievement, it shows the district and community's commitment to investing in educational experiences that educate the whole child.
