Concrete Work on US Highway 81 in Cloud County Begins Monday

Beginning Monday, August 22nd, the Kansas Department of Transportation will begin concrete patching on approximately 2 miles of US Highway 81 in Cloud County.

Work on the southbound and northbound lanes of US Highway 81 will proceed north from the north city limits of Concordia to about 2.7 miles north of the US Highway 81/K-9 junction.

Traffic on US Highway 81 will be reduced to one 12-foot lane at a reduced speed through the work zone.  Drivers should expect minimal delays, not exceeding five minutes.

Emery Sapp and Sons Inc. of Columbia, Missouri is the prime contractor and has scheduled this $637,990 project to be completed by November, weather permitting.
