Free, Drive-Thru Thanksgiving Dinner to be Held in Concordia on Thursday

A free, drive-thru Thanksgiving dinner will be held in Concordia on Thursday, November 25th for those in need of a holiday meal.

The event is being hosted at the Kansas National Guard Armory in Concordia.

Over 500 meals were served to people in Cloud County last year, and more recipients are expected this year.

This year the dinner will be take out and delivery only.  Home deliveries begin at 11 am, while curbside pickup will run from 12:15 pm to 1:15 pm.

Lisa Valcoure, one of the organizers for the yearly meal, says they want to ensure residents in need of a holiday meal receive one on Thanksgiving Day.

The ready-to-eat, hot meal will consist of a classic Thanksgiving menu.
