The Concordia Fall Fest Committee received a $2,000 donation from the Grain Belt Express on Tuesday, June 27th for a new information building to replace the information hut during the annual Fall Fest celebration.

Grain Belt Express will deliver more power to more communities across the Midwest — 5,000 megawatts in total.  That's the equivalent of about four new nuclear power plants in transmission capacity to better meet regional energy needs — with most of the energy going to Missouri, Illinois, and the Midwest.  Meanwhile, Kansas will see significant economic investment from both the transmission line and the new generation sources the line will enable.

Grain Belt Express is committed to providing local benefits to landowners, communities, and other stakeholders during development, construction, and operation.  Grain Belt Express is more than a transmission line.  It represents long-awaited investment in our Midwestern communities.

As part of their commitment to the communities where the project will be located, Community Relations Field Representative Ron Gillette says the Grain Belt Express is proud to support non-profit organizations through their Community Grant Program.
