Hood Park Neighbors to Hold Eighth Ever 4th of July Celebration

The Hood Park Neighbors, a resident-driven group that organizes numerous fun activities for the public each year, will hold their eighth ever 4th of July Celebration next month.

The celebration will be held on Saturday, July 1st.  Sara Niehues with the Hood Park Neighbors says the event includes two different 5K runs and a one mile fun run and walk.

Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the Renegade and Firecracker races for all racers, while prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd for kids only in the Dud one mile fun run.

Registration is currently underway.  Forms are available on the Hood Park Neighbors Facebook page.  The cost for runners is $25 if you register by June 20th, or $30 from June 21st through the day of the event.

Niehues says swag bags are available for the first 50 paid adult registrations, and the first 25 paid kid registrations.
