The Kansas Highway Patrol has released its New Year's Weekend Holiday Activity Report.  The reporting period for the holiday ran from 6 pm on Friday, December 29th, through 11:59 pm on Monday, January 1st.

The Kansas Highway Patrol worked one non-DUI related fatal crash which resulted in one non-DUI related fatality.

According to their 2024 enforcement data, the Kansas Highway Patrol made 29 DUI arrests, up from 22 in 2023.  717 speed citations and 476 speed warnings were issued.  39 safety belt citations were issued, as well as 19 child restraint citations.  And Kansas Highway Patrol personnel assisted 504 motorists over the holiday reporting period.
