October 1st marked the start of the new 4-H year.  To celebrate the start of a prosperous 4-H year, the River Valley District 4-H organization participated in National 4-H Week.  The event took place from October 1st through October 8th.  Youth promote 4-H by painting the town green, wearing their 4-H t-shirts, participating in 4-H Sunday and 48 Hours of 4-H.

National 4-H Week also marked the beginning of enrollment for River Valley 4-H.

Macy Hynek, River Valley District 4-H Youth Development Agent, says 4-H welcomes all youth ages 7 to 18-years-old and is a great place for them to find a spark in one of their 45 projects.
