Lewis "Bill" Bloom, a life long farmer and stockman from rural Clay Center, has filed for the 64th district of the Kansas House of Representatives.

As a 7th generation farming family member, Bloom, a Republican, understands agriculture well.  His wife Linda taught 27 years in elementary education which gave Bill an understanding of the challenges in our education system.

Bill graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in Animal Science, served six years in the National Guard, and is a member of the Morganville Methodist Church.  Bill and Linda have three children and eight grandchildren.

The 64th Kansas District is represented by Suzi Carlson, a Republican from Clay Center.  Carlson was elected in 2018, succeeding Republican Susie Swanson, who did not seek re-election.  Carlson has also refiled for her seat.
