Local Organizations to Partner on Disaster Relief Assistance Following Historic Flooding in Nebraska

The Cloud County Health Center, USD 333 Concordia, CloudCorp and the Concordia Chamber of Commerce are teaming together to provide emergency aid to Nebraska communities affected by recent storms and flooding.

41 locations in six states across the Midwest have set new flood crests as a result of recent heavy rains and snowmelt.  The devastating flooding has killed at least three people, forced countless evacuations, breached dams and levees, damaged hundreds of homes and flooded a military base.

The Cloud County Health Center, located at 1100 Highland Drive in Concordia, is serving as a community drop off location for donations to help our Nebraska neighbors in need.  A list of suggested items are:
Shovels
Masks
Disinfectants
Tarps
Bottled water
Sports drinks
Prepackaged snacks
Adult socks
Towels
Blankets
Bleach
Brooms
Paper goods (toilet paper, paper towels, etc.)
Canned goods
Trash cans
Trash bags
Calf milk replacer
Calf bottles

Items can be dropped off at the front desk of the hospital.  The drop off deadline is Friday, March 22nd at 4:30 pm.

Students that want to help flood victims can also bring donations to their school buildings this week.
