Miltonvale Man Treated for Serious Injuries Following One-Vehicle Accident in Wabaunsee County

A Miltonvale man is being treated for suspected serious injuries following a one-vehicle accident on Interstate 70 in Wabaunsee County on Monday, July 17th.

According to a report from the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2017 Ford F650 driven by 61-year-old Mikel Keith Pruitt of Miltonvale was traveling westbound on I-70 when Pruitt's vehicle left the roadway for an unknown reason one-mile east of Vera Road.  Pruitt's vehicle crossed the median and eastbound lanes, entered the south ditch and drove through a fence.  Pruitt's vehicle then struck a concrete barrier before coming to a stop.

The accident occurred at 3:02 pm on Monday.

Pruitt, who was wearing his seat belt at the time of the accident, was taken to Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka for suspected serious injuries.
