New Concordia Pastor Dies Unexpectedly

A new pastor in the Concordia community died unexpectedly this week.

According to the CrossPointNow Facebook page, Michael Lochard, new Pastor for CrossPoint Concordia, passed away on March 29th.

Michael formally served as a faithful volunteer leader at CrossPoint Lindsborg, as interim Pastor in Concordia for the past few months, and was recently hired to begin as the new Pastor in Concordia.  His first official service was scheduled for this Sunday, April 2nd.

Michael leaves behind his wife Jennifer, who previously served as the Pastor's Assistant at CrossPoint Hutchinson, and their seven children, Adrien, Stephanie, Walker, Andrew, Zaleigh, Leah, and Keneth.

"Pastor Michael and his family were deeply loved by their sending location, CrossPoint Lindsborg, and already had a strong love for the people of CrossPoint Concordia," the CrossPointNow statement reads.  "When we are able, we will offer details for how we can love and serve their family, and the people of CrossPoint Concordia during this time.  Until then, please pray that the Lord would be near to all who have been devastatingly affected by Michael's passing."
