Are the pine trees in your windbreak starting to turn brown? The River Valley Extension District invites you to join them at an upcoming program to learn about pine tree diseases working their way through the pine trees in Kansas.

Judy O'Mara, K-State Plant Pathology-State Extension Leader and Plant Disease Diagnostic Lab Director will be sharing the ways to spot the signs of these diseases early.  If caught early, River Valley District Horticulture Agent Kelsey Hatesohl says there are ways to minimize the damage done to the infected tree and the other trees around it.

At the workshop, they will also discuss a few of the other top tree diseases that were most present this year.

This workshop will be held on Wednesday, September 13th from 12:10 pm to 12:50 pm at the Cloud County Co-op Conference Room, located at 1401 East 6th Street in Concordia.

Participants are asked to RSVP to Hatesohl at (785) 325-2121, or by emailing Kelsey Hatesohl at khatesohl@ksu.edu.
