Prairieland Electric Cooperative Inc. has donated $1,000 to the Concordia USD 333 Education Fund to provide educational resources for schools.  In addition, Prairieland is helping to improve the health, hope and dignity of children and young adults attending schools in their service area with a donation of essential self-care products to schools.  Their employee contribution of hygiene items is available to students at The Panther Pantry, located at Concordia High School in the counselor’s office.

The Panther Pantry helps to provide students with self esteem during times when they have a family need.  Students can get personal items, and sometimes clothing or food from the pantry.  The pantry is not meant to support families long-term, but it gives kids an opportunity to get needed items from a caring adult.

The Concordia USD 333 Education Fund, established in October 2022, embraces the school district’s belief that “education is not an outcome, but a process.”  USD 333 staff will continue to seek partnerships that offer their students educational resources and opportunities through grants, gifts, and contributions to the Concordia USD 333 Education Fund.

The fund is held at the Community Foundation for Cloud County, a 501(c)(3) organization.  Kim Muff, Concordia Education Fund Director, says all gifts to this fund are tax-deductible.
