Residents Encouraged to Share Ideas on Building their Local Food System
Join K-State Research & Extension for an opportunity to share, listen, and learn about what is happening in your community around local food systems.
River Valley District Nutrition, Food Safety and Health Agent Kaitlin Moore says they want to hear from you about what is working well and what challenges your community is facing related to local foods.
Moore says this event will also give you the opportunity to connect with others in your area that are interested in local foods and learn about resources available from K-State to help you make progress.
A roundtable will be held on Monday, November 6th from 6 pm to 7:30 pm at the Clay County Fairgrounds in Clay Center, co-sponsored by K-State Research and Extension's River Valley District and Kansas Farm Bureau.
This event will include a light dinner.
If you aren't able to attend the in person roundtable, Moore says you are welcome to sign up for one of the virtual roundtables that will be held.
The information collected from the roundtables across the state will help inform the development of new K-State Research & Extension programs related to local food systems.
