Make a difference in your community by becoming a SHICK volunteer.

SHICK volunteers are needed to help Medicare beneficiaries with comparisons of Part D drug plans during Open Enrollment from October 15th to December 7th.

SHICK, or Senior Health Insurance Counseling for Kansas, is a free program of trained volunteers who educate and assist individuals with Medicare.  SHICK provides free, unbiased, and confidential assistance to Kansans who have questions about Medicare and related insurance issues.  SHICK is a program of the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services.

River Valley District Extension Agents Jordan Schuette and Monica Thayer are hosting two educational meetings to describe the process to become a SHICK volunteer.  Thayer invites you to attend one of the meetings to learn more about this volunteer opportunity.
