Skylar Kahrs Named Valedictorian of Clifton-Clyde Graduating Class, Whitley Sikes Named Salutatorian

Skylar Kahrs has been named Valedictorian for the Clifton-Clyde High School graduating class of 2024, while Whitley Sikes has been named Salutatorian of the class.

Skylar is the daughter of Lee and Gloria Kahrs of Clifton.  Skylar will be attending the University of Kansas to obtain a degree in Biology.  While at Clifton-Clyde High School, Skylar was a member of National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Future Business Leaders of America (president), Student Council (president), and Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America.  Additionally, she was on the cross-country team, volleyball team, track & field team, and was a cheerleader for four years.  

Whitley is the daughter of Rusty and Becky Sikes of Clyde.  Whitley plans to attend Kansas State University then transfer to Fort Hays University to complete a bachelor’s in Nursing Science.  She also plans to complete her masters in nursing to become a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.  While at Clifton-Clyde High School, Whitley was a member of Future Farmers of America (president), Student Council, National Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America, Choir, and Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America.  In addition to all of that, Whitley was also a member of the basketball team, track & field team, cross country team, volleyball team, trap-shooting team, and was a football manager.  

The Clifton-Clyde High School Class of 2024 Commencement Exercises are scheduled for Sunday, May 12th, at 2 pm in Clifton-Clyde High School’s Bill Bechard Gymnasium.
