The Tallgrass Trio Concert at Brown Grand Theatre Rescheduled for June 5th

The Brown Grand Opera House, Inc. is happy to announce the rescheduled performance of the Tallgrass Trio on Sunday, June 5th at 3 pm.  This concert was cancelled earlier this year.

The Tallgrass Trio concert was originally part of the 2021-2022 season at the Brown Grand which focused on presenting local and regional talent.

The Tallgrass Trio is comprised of three professional women musicians based out of Manhattan, Kansas – all three of which are on faculty and staff at K-State University, including: Dr. Susan Maxwell on flute and bassoon; Dr. Amy Guffey on clarinet, and Amanda Arrington on piano.

Maxwell, who teaches Bassoon and Introduction to Music at Kansas State University, says their three instruments complement each other beautifully.

The three talented and experienced musicians share years of friendship, a love of music and a love of playing together.

This performance is sponsored by the Cloud County Chemical Dependency Committee.
