Two Concordia Students to Have Artwork Showcased at Youth Art Month Exhibit in Topeka

Concordia Senior Qwinter Thrash and Concordia 8th grader Laila Evers have been chosen to represent Concordia in the Youth Art Month Exhibit at the Topeka Shawnee County Public Library.  This art exhibit celebrates Youth Art Month and features artwork from students throughout the state of Kansas.

The Youth Art Month exhibit will be on display from February 27th through March 23rd.  The Library is located at 1515 SW 10th Ave in Topeka, KS and the hours are Monday through Friday from 9 am to 9 pm; Saturday from 9 am to 6 pm; and Sunday from Noon to 9 pm.

Youth Art Month is a nationally recognized month of promoting visual art and art education for grades K-12.

The Kansas Art Education Association will be sponsoring a Celebration/Reception for student artists, their families, and educators on Saturday, March 23rd from 1 pm to 2:30 pm.  The Celebration/Reception will be held at the Topeka Shawnee County Public Library.  There will be time for guests to view the artwork, a guest speaker, recognition of students, activities, sale of Youth Art Month merchandise and light refreshments.   The library will open at 9 am and the Youth Art Month activities will be set up by 11:30 am.
