USD 333 BOE Holds August 2026 Study Session

The USD 333 Board of Education met on the evening of Monday, August 31, to hold a Study Session at the USD 333 Administrative Offices. 

The Board called the meeting to order at 6 PM with two items on the agenda to discuss. The first was a Board activity to brainstorm goals for the 2026-27 school year that fall into areas that are a part of the district's new strategic plan. Superintendent Tom DeBauche led a group exercise to brainstorm ideas, and then discussions were held to evaluate them and try to select three ideas to work on accomplishing this year within the district. After lengthy deliberations, the Board decided to revisit the remaining options at the September 14 meeting when more information is present and more thought and research has been carried out. 

The Board then discussed the upcoming KASB Convention on November 6-8, and sought to know who on the Board is interested in attending and who would want to serve as delegates for USD 333. Delegates will be selected at the September 14 meeting.  

With no other items on the agenda, the Study Session was adjourned at 7:25 PM. 

The USD 333 Board of Education schedules Study Session meetings for when there are five Mondays in a month. The next study session will be held on November 30.
