Barbara Renner

Barbara Renner, age 97 of Burr Oak, entered into rest on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at the Jewell County Hospital, Mankato, Kansas.  She was born to Josef Stock and Barbara (Hauf) Stock on July 5, 1925 in Huttlingen, Germany.

She was the youngest sibling of 5, 3 brothers, Josef, Anton, and German and 1 sister, Josephine.  She passed away on, July 9, 2022.  Barbara came to the United States of America on January 1st of 1953 at the age of 27.  She was united in marriage to Dallas Renner on March 1, 1953.

Barbara’s husband, Dallas passed away on October 1, 1993.  She continued to live in the Burr Oak community until she moved to long term care in Mankato in June of 2022.

Barbara had a great love for her cats and all creatures. In her younger years she would be seen taking her walks around Burr Oak carrying a pocket full of dog food for any dogs she would meet along the way.  She always enjoyed watching and feeding the baby fox that lived in the white Rock Creek behind her home.

Barbara loved going to garage sales and thrift stores and always found a treasure of two, some she would keep and some she would give away to neighbors, friend or to those she hired to help her do chores around her home.

Barbara is preceded in death by her Husband, Dallas, her parents and 3 brothers and a sister.

She will be dearly missed by her friends and neighbors.

Cremation has taken place and a graveside memorial will be held at a later date in the Burr Oak Cemetery, Burr Oak, Kansas.
