Clair L. Trimble

Clair L. Trimble, age 91, formerly of Agenda, Kansas passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at the North Central Kansas Medical Center in Concordia. 

Clair was born October 17, 1931 in Republic County, Kansas to Fred and Suzie (Betlack) Trimble.  He attended grade school at the Manning and the Prairie Center schools and graduated from the Agenda Rural High School in 1949. 

Clair married his high school sweetheart, Donna Anderson, on June 6, 1951.  To this union four children were born.  He served in the Army from 1955-1957 and lived in several locations including Maryland and Formosa (Taiwan).  After he returned home, he and Donna farmed and raised cattle near Agenda.

Clair loved classic cars.  He had pictures of all his cars and trucks and enjoyed looking at them while reminiscing and telling stories.  He talked about driving his parents’ 1936 Plymouth to high school and that his first car was a 1946 Ford.  He was mechanically inclined and maintained and repaired his farm machinery and vehicles.  He was also skilled in carpentry and home repairs.  Clair remodeled their home and added more rooms, and built machine sheds and other buildings on their farm.

His memory will be cherished by his children Mike Trimble, Clyde, Sandy Weaver, Olathe, Pam Trimble, Topeka, and Joy Marks (Brian), Concordia; sister Charlotte Lambert, Manhattan; granddaughters Bethany Trimble, Stuttgart, Germany, Jessica Trimble (Gabe), Seattle, WA, and Josey McCready (Dan), Topeka; grandsons Tyler Marks (Kaitlyn), Haven, and Kyle Marks, Wichita, and other family and friends. 

Clair was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Donna, and his parents.
Visitation for friends and family will be from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, 325 W. 6th Street, Concordia, KS.

Funeral services will be at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home on Friday, January 13, 2023 at 1:00 pm and will be followed by burial at the Agenda Cemetery.  Military honors will be provided by the Ft. Riley Big Red One, Ft. Riley, Kansas.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Agenda Methodist Church.
