Donna L. Jones, the daughter of Donald A. Davidson and Winetta G. (Larkins) Davidson, was born February 5, 1930 in Byron, Nebraska and passed away on Feb. 1, 2024 at Republic County Hospital, Belleville, KS at the age of 93.

Donna attended schools in Byron, NE, graduating from Byron High School.

She began nursing school in Lincoln, NE and then married Victor M. Jones on June 5, 1949.   The couple relocated many times for Victor’s work as an engineer for Phillips Petroleum Company.    They lived in Caney, KS; Bartlesville, OK; Idaho Falls, ID; London, England; Oslo, Norway and back to Bartlesville.   They retired to Idaho Falls and spent winters in sunny climates.

The couple loved to travel and square dance.   Victor preceded her in death on April 6, 1992.   Donna split time between Clyde, KS and Mesa, AZ until ill health brought her to Agenda, KS for the past 9 years.

Donna was an extraordinary musician and vocalist.    She was an active volunteer for church and community in the communities she lived and was a member of the United Methodist Women, and the P.E.O.-Clyde, KS Chapter.

She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, and 5 sisters.  Donna was the last surviving sibling of this generation.

Donna is survived by 3 children, Victor A. Jones of Laramie, WY, Dana (Bambi Burris) Jones, of Agenda, KS, and Pam (Mark) Wallace of Shawnee, KS; 6 grandchildren, Sarah Jones of Reno, NV, Goldie Jones of Los Angeles, CA, Nicholas Wallace of Richland, WA, Victor Wallace of Olathe, KS, Peter (PJ) Wallace of Shawnee, KS, Wade (Allie) Evans of Joplin, MO; one great granddaughter, Star Evans;  many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 10, 2024 at the First United Methodist Church, Belleville, KS with Pastor Sandra Jellison-Knock, officiating.

Interment will follow at the Belleville Cemetery, Belleville, Kansas.

Friends may call from 1 PM until 7 PM on Friday, February 9th at the Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home, Belleville, KS where the family will greet friends from 6 PM until 7 PM on Friday.

Memorials are suggested to the P.E.O.-Clyde Chapter, Clyde, KS.
