Duane Eugene Marcotte

Duane Eugene Marcotte, 74, passed away June 17, 2023 at Park Villa Nursing Home in Clyde, Kansas after a short stay. He was born in Concordia, Kansas to Edmond and Geneva (Kinsvater) Marcotte on April 9, 1949.

He attended school and graduated from Clyde High School in 1967.

Duane was a Respiratory Therapist at Salina Regional Hospital until moving to Traverse City, Michigan, where he lived for most of his life. He worked at Munson Medical Center until Myasthenia Gravis disease forced an early retirement. After retirement, he moved back to Clyde, Kansas.

Duane had a passion for researching family history, including the Marcottes, Kinsvaters, and Urbans. Another passion for him was traveling. He loved sitting outside visiting with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother Laverne Marcotte; brother-in-law Wendell Ryser; four nephews Gene, Leland, Scott Marcotte, Henry Ryser; and great nephew Dustin Cyr.

Duane is survived by his brother Kenny Marcotte (Christine); his sister Donna Pierce (Bob); sister-in-law Roxana Marcotte, all of Clyde, Kansas, and a host of nieces and nephews.

A Private Family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
