Helen Imogene Norris, 90 of Olathe, KS, former Concordia, KS resident, passed away on June 9, 2023, at Nottingham Health and Rehabilitation Center, Olathe, KS.

She was born in Clyde, Ks to Ulysses Earl Starr and Nellie Leta Kennedy Starr.  She was married to Robert D. Mosher for 38 years.  She married James H. Norris in 2000 and they were married for 13 years. 

She worked hard at several jobs including Seymour Packing, bakeries in Clyde and Concordia, USD 333 School Food Service, and CCCJC remote learning Program, as well as family businesses including caretaker for 11 rural cemeteries, bulk newspaper delivery, and vending services.  She also helped her husband with the Mosher Mower and small engine repair shop.

She made quilts with her friends at Norway for The Lutheran World Relief and stocking caps for patients at Tammy Walker Cancer Center in Salina.

She was a member of Women of the Moose Chapter #1278, Concordia, Order of the Eastern Star Ophel Chapter #115, Belleville, Norway Coffee Group, and member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Concordia.  Helen and Bob supported the scouting programs at the church while seeing all four sons to their Eagle and God and Country honors.

Survivors include her sons Roger D. Mosher and wife Mary of Andover Ks., Gerold (Jerry) L. Mosher and wife Jane of Kansas City, Mo, Alan D. Mosher and wife Jackie of Overland Park, Ks, Andrew (Andy) P. Mosher and Jamie of Lead, SD, stepsons James (Jim) W. Norris and wife Amy,Concordia,Ks, Donald (Don) R. Norris, and Judy, Arlington,Tx, and Lloyd R. Norris and Trish, Salina, Ks  8 grandchildren,  and 14 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter.  She is also survived by her brother Larry Starr and sister Carolyn (Jane) George.

She was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Leta Starr, siblings Kenneth Kennedy, Wilma Monty, and William (Bud) Starr, her husband Bob Mosher, her husband Jim Norris, and her stepdaughter Jean Wessling.

Funeral service will be held at 10: 30 AM, Friday, June 16, 2023 the Trinity United Methodist Church, Concordia, KS with Pastor Mark Crist, officiating.

Interment will follow at Hollis Cemetery northeast of Concordia, KS

Friends may call from 1 PM until 8 PM on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at the Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home, Belleville, KS where the family will greet friends from 6 PM until 8 PM    on Thursday.
