John Arthur Musgrove, 82 of Concordia, passed away on June 23rd, 2023 at North Central Kansas Medical Center in Concordia. John was born on June 4th, 1941 in Glade, KS to Edmund and Edith Musgrove.

He grew up in Glen Elder, where he attended grade school through high school. After graduation, he worked many different jobs including grain elevator work for farmers and local grocery stores. A few years later, John joined the Army and headed to Colorado for basic training. It was there that he was trained as a medic. After being honorably discharged from the Army, John returned home and began working for the Union Pacific Railroad. After working hard for 36 years, he retired from the railroad in February of 2002. Even in retirement, he didn't slow down. John could often be found mowing several yards around town and was a “handyman” for a few older ladies in the neighborhood. John enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, driving around town, watching his soap operas, and going down to Easy G’s to have a cheeseburger, fries and a soda.

John is survived by granddaughters Ashley (Brian) Hay of Concordia, Brittany (Caleb) Acridge of Concordia, grandson Caleb Roth of Concordia, brothers Wayne (D’Meris) Musgrove of Cawker City, Clifford (Elaine) Musgrove of Larned, 11 great-grandchildren, 2 nieces, and 1 nephew. He was preceded in death by both parents (Edmund and Edith), his only child (Teresa) and grandson (Brandon).
