Judith “Judy” Ann Huffman

Judith “Judy” Ann Huffman was born on July 2, 1945, in Belleville, Kansas, to Alva & Bernice (Simmons) Thompson. Judy grew up in Scandia, and graduated from Scandia High School, class of 1963.

Judy was united in marriage to Charles D. Huffman on October 21, 1994, in Plattsburg, New York.

After relocating home to Scandia, Judy enjoyed being part of the Red Hats Club, listening to music, and having coffee with the girls at the Scandia Beauty Shop.

Judy passed away on July 8, 2023, at the age of 78, at the Republic Co. Hospital in Belleville.

She is preceded in death by her parents Alva and Bernice, sister-in-law Sue Schmidt, brother-in-law Bob Huffman.

She is survived by her husband Charlie of Scandia, son Kyle Serra and his wife Elizabeth of Dora Creek, New South Wales, Australia; step sons Shane Huffman (Nicole) of Ottawa, KS; Brad Huffman of Clay Center, KS; Curtis Huffman (Cindy) of Coweta, OK; Brandon Huffman (Katie Ann) of Clay Center, KS; sister Colleen Cailteux (Mel) of Lone Tree, CO; sister Nancy Nobert (Lorraine) of Marana, AZ; brother-in-law Dr. Ronald Huffman (Penny) of Salina, KS; brother-in-law James Huffman (Emma Jean) of Pineville, LA; brother-in-law Ed Schmidt of Park Rapids, MN, numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Funeral Services will be Friday, July 14, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., at the Amana Lutheran Church in Scandia. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery, Scandia.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 13, from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, at Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home in Belleville.
